Fisher Aviation LLC is a specialized aviation consulting and project management firm focused on complex, high-value business aviation programs. Founded and led by Russell "Russ" Fisher, the firm represents aircraft owners, family offices, and corporate flight departments in acquisitions, completions, infrastructure development, operational transitions, and regulatory strategy.
With deep experience across large cabin aircraft platforms including Gulfstream (G550, G650, G700), Bombardier Global 7500 and 8000, Boeing Business Jets, and most recently Pilatus with the PC-24 platform, Fisher Aviation provides independent owner representation throughout the entire aircraft lifecycle. From pre-purchase strategy and contract negotiation through delivery oversight, refurbishment, connectivity integration, and entry into service, the firm ensures that each program is executed with precision, transparency, and accountability.
Fisher Aviation serves as a direct liaison between owners, original equipment manufacturers, maintenance repair and overhaul providers, management companies, regulatory authorities, airport sponsors, and legal counsel. The firm is routinely engaged in the following:
Every engagement is structured to protect the owner's interests while maintaining productive relationships with manufacturers, service providers, and regulatory agencies.
Russ Fisher brings a comprehensive aviation background rooted in aircraft maintenance, private flight department management, and operational leadership. Beginning his career on the technical side of aviation, Russ developed a strong foundation in aircraft systems, maintenance planning, and airworthiness management before transitioning into leadership roles within private flight departments.
He is an active pilot and aircraft owner, with firsthand experience operating and managing complex aircraft in real-world mission environments. This operational perspective allows Fisher Aviation to approach each client engagement with a practical understanding of how aircraft are actually flown, maintained, staffed, and supported on a day-to-day basis.
By combining technical maintenance knowledge with ownership experience and management insight, Russ serves as a true owner's representative—capable of bridging the gap between engineering, operations, finance, and regulatory compliance.
Fisher Aviation integrates operational knowledge with a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Administration compliance frameworks, airport lease structures, and aviation regulatory requirements. The firm works closely with aviation counsel, maintenance providers, and flight departments to align operational goals with contractual protections and regulatory compliance.
This regulatory fluency allows clients to navigate complex environments—whether structuring a new aircraft delivery program, transitioning aircraft management providers, or negotiating long-term airport lease terms.
In addition to modern business aviation programs, Fisher Aviation supports historic aircraft preservation initiatives, including complex restoration efforts. This reflects a broader commitment to aviation stewardship, education, and community engagement.
For nearly twelve years, Russ has actively mentored students from the Solano Community College Aeronautics Program, working to bridge the gap between academic instruction and the practical skills required to enter the aviation maintenance workforce. Through hands-on involvement in his personal shop, students participate in real-world restoration projects on aircraft acquired specifically for educational purposes. These projects provide foundational experience in sheet metal fabrication, aircraft systems, powerplant fundamentals, avionics integration, and general airworthiness practices. They offer exposure to the types of tasks and decision-making processes students will encounter in professional maintenance environments.
This initiative is designed to better prepare the next generation of aviation technicians by providing meaningful supervised experience that complements their formal classroom education and supports a more seamless transition into the workforce.
Protect the owner's interests. Execute with discipline. Maintain relationships.
Every program is approached with a long-term perspective that balances technical excellence, contractual clarity, and operational practicality. The firm's role is advisory and strategic, serving as an independent advocate whose only obligation is to the client.
